Hi everyone, thanks for logging on. I'm ready and waiting for all your questions so fire away. |
What is your favourite time of the day? - Sandra Fowler, Bedfordshire
Wow, I think its nice, when you get in from work you can chill out, get some diner,
chat to your mum or your boyfriend, who evers there.
Ive heard that your pet fish like watching eastenders!! is that true? - Claire Thomas, Essex
Its so true, they are a big fan of eastenders, they are shy and they hide behind the
coral, not the band, haha, yeah and when eastenders comes on they all come out. They stare at me too when
I sit on the couch.
Hi ya Melly, what is the best and worse point about touring? - Dennis Schmitt, Rees, Germany
The best part is being onstage ever night, seeing your fans and all
the banter that goes on between the band. The worst bit is tiredness, missing back home, the
tour bus is cool but when you sleep in hotels all the time it gets hard.
what has been your most memorable performance and do you have any more ambitions you would like to fulfill? - Warren Hayden
I have million ambitions to fulfill, record great albums, tour the world. One of the most memorable performances of my life was when we played wembly stadium with the spice girls. Next one is the first ever live gig, I was so nervous I seemed to last about 2 second, also v 99 they stayed very firmly in my mind.
I know your a Madonna fan, so I just want to ask what you thought of her new album American Life? - Ryan Arya, Manchester
I really admire whatever she has done, but I have to say I have heard her more recent stuff and its not her best stuff of her career.
hiya Mel, Carl & me met you at basepop in Belgium but forgot to ask you. Have you written any tracks for your third album as you weren't able to perform for a while? - Ben Van Looy, Antwerp
I haven’t written any tracks yet but I have a lot of lyric ideas, will be getting in the studio very soon.
Have you learned anything about yourself in the time off since the accident. - Georgia Maxwell, Dumfries
Had a lot of time to think, had six weeks off so I have learnt to take things at a slower pace, to enjoy life.
Did you choose Melt as a single because you want to 'give a little bit of love for your people' or just so you can 'send a little bit of hope down the airwaves'? Any way both are positive messages but which is more important - Beatriz Almagro, Madrid
I think they are both important messages, when I was writing the song with guy chambers we wanted it to be heart walming song, it talks about some of the things I went through in the yearly years of my life, a message to people to love one another too.
If there were a dictionary designed for everything about the spice girls, what do you want the meaning of the word "Melanie Chisholm, aka. Sporty Spice" to be? - John Cheo, Singapore
The most successful solo spice from the band and most frequently called the most talented. haha
Can we expect any suprises at your December gigs in London & Liverpool? New material maybe? ;-) - Charlotte Bunkell, Ipswich
With the sustained knee injury it has made me re think what im going to be doing over the next months Im going back into the studio, working on a third album, so you never know if I have some songs ready I may well play them at my Christmas gigs.
You must have been pretty devastated with the injury to your leg, do you think this might cause you long term problems? All the best tho and keep positive! - Jo Marsh, Sawbridgeworth
When the accident first happened I was devastated, I decided at that moment I had to be positive and the doctors said it will be 100% recovery, although that leg wont be as strong as the other one. Premiership football players get back play at the same level so I should be ok.
Hello Melanie! You're beautiful! What is your favourite song at the moment? - Nathan Maria Radovic, Triest, Italy
My favourite song at the moment is Jamelia, That Superstar, I find myself singing it in the bath.
Hiya babe! I really love the Melt video. It's simple and effective and you look absolutely stunning! I've noticed that the one on - Louise Wilks, Liverpool
We played around with a few different edits, we wanted to get the best final result and I think the one shown on TV is an earlier one, with more live footage, I was keen to have live footage, but because it was a different song some people said we should change it.
Hi Melanie, I was wondering out of all the artists you've worked with both in the Spice Girls and solo, who was the most enjoyable and exciting for you? - Kerry Bennett, Bedford shire
I think when I worked with Lisa Left eye Lopez, I was flattered that she was really into the song and wanted to be a part of it, I could believe I was going to have one of the girls from TLC, especially Lisa as she was always my favorite. Working with Brian Adams as well was very exciting, ive listen to his music for years and years so that was really great.
How did you enjoy being on stage again last sunday (basepop, belgium) after your time out?! - Sofie schodts, Antwerp
I had a fantastic time, I was excited but nervous about getting back on stage with my leg being in a brace, the audience was fantastic, with some really good fans there.
Really sorry everybody but Melanie has had to run... (laugh!) but she has promised to answer some more questions on her way… we will post them on the site ASAP! Thanks for coming along, take care and see you all soon
Love Melanie xx
